"The Lost Forest" is a short animation inspired by Romanian lore. The protagonist is a forest sprite often encountered in fairytales under the name "Mother of the Forest".
For this project, I created a backstory to fit in with the traits commonly associated with her character and tailored everything else around that. Half of the story was built in traditional 3D with Maya and the other half was created entirely in Quill in VR.
This animation was not created with VR output in mind and for this reason, only one scene is available on my Oculus Creator Portfolio for now.
